Many storms have passed through our country. Many of us still do not know what to do during the storm. So, better if we know what to do before or during the typhoon. Here are some tips what to do before and during the typhoon:

1. During the typhoon don’t panic and stay calm.
2. Check your house and repair unstable parts as much as possible like the roof, drainage system for debris, etc.
3. Prepare first aid kit, clothes, pack food that does not need cooking, water to drink, flashlights, candles, and keep battery-powered radios within reach.
4. Put valuable tools and equipment like important documents and place them in unreachable flood.
5. Check everything that could explode and put them in a safe area away from the flood.
6. Do not use gas or electrical appliances that have been affected by the flood.
7. Flying objects are dangerous when there is a storm, stay in a safe area of your home.
8. Stay inside and keep updated with the typhoon’s movement.
9. Only use your mobile phone for important things.
10. In the event of an evacuation, be calm and do as instructed by the local government.
11. Before leaving your house close all windows and turn off the main power switch.
12. Avoid roads leading to rivers and areas that are prone to landslide.

If you are advised to evacuate, do so. People who are letting you know about the need for evacuation are more knowledgeable than others. Don’t be hard-headed, at least during this period of anxiety.
